Attending the OFL conference provided me a new perspective in regards to the Ontario Labour movement. The items brought forward and debated were informative, but I am returning home feeling an opportunity was missed.
I want to be clear, equality in the workplace is vitally important. I also believe Ontario workers deserve wages, pensions and benefits that will provide affordable housing and a comfortable standard of living for themselves and their families. These issues were not discussed and debated as they should have.
Please continue the fight against workplace inequality, but do not forget, a comfortable standard of living for all workers in Ontario is vital for a continued positive labour movement.
In solidarity.
