Béatrice Richer awarded the IAM scholarship to pursue a career in physics

The IAM is proud to celebrate one of its brightest young achievers: Béatrice Richer, daughter of Frédéric Richer, a dedicated member of IAM Union Local 712 working at Bombardier in Montréal.

Béatrice, 19, has been awarded an IAM Union Scholarship, recognizing her exceptional academic accomplishments, ambition, and community involvement.

This fall, Béatrice will attend McGill University in Montréal, where she plans to major in physics and mathematics; a path she is fully committed to, with dreams of pursuing a career in physics research.

A standout student, Béatrice has already completed a remarkable list of advanced courses, including:

  • Differential and Integral Calculus
  • Linear Algebra
  • Mechanics, Electricity & Magnetism
  • Solutions Chemistry
  • Biology

In addition to being bilingual, Béatrice finds time to explore the world beyond academics. She enjoys yoga classes, hiking, and even competes in philosophy contests.

Congratulations to Béatrice and her family, a shining example of how union families support excellence across generations!
