Montréal, QC – Members of IAMAW Local Lodge 2727 have ratified a new collective agreement with Kraft Canada by a margin of 70 per cent.
The four –year agreement provides wage increases of $ .75 per hour in the first year retroactive to April 1, 2010, and $ .70 per hour in each of the three remaining years of the agreement. Other agreement highlights include :
• Modification for granting vacations to allow more members on vacation at the same time
• Improved bereavement leave
• Prohibition on the use of contractors at the time of layoffs in a classification
• Increases in shift and lead hand premiums
• Increased tool allowance
• RRSP contribution increases to $2.15 per hour retroactive to April 1, 2010 and $2.20 per hour April 1, 2012
The sixty members provide maintenance services at the Montréal plant.
