Mississauga, ON – Members of IAMAW Local Lodge 1922 have signed a new collective agreement with Weir Canada.
The five-year agreement provides wage increases of 3.5 per cent in the first year retroactive to January 1, 2012, 3.5 per cent in the second year, and 3 per cent in the third, fourth and fifth year respectively. Other agreement highlights include :
• Improved contract language
• Two additional paid sick days per year
• Increased shift premium
• Increased lead hand premium
• Increased meal allowance
• Increased on-site per diem

The ten members working at the Toronto Service Centre consist of millwrights, mechanics, inspectors, painters and shipper/receivers. Weir Canada delivers end-to-end solutions for mining, transportation, milling, processing and waste management activities.
