Stratford, ON – Members of IAMAW Local Lodge 103 have ratified a new collective agreement with Cedarcroft Retirement Home Limited.
The three-year agreement provides wage increases of 4 per cent in the first year, and 2 per cent in the second and third years respectively. Other agreement highlights include :
• Additional sick day for part-time workers
• Vision care benefits added
• Improved overtime language
• Improved seniority language
• Vacation improvements
The 45 members consist of housekeeping, nursing and kitchen personnel.
The IAMAW also represents retirement home workers in Toronto, Bowmanville, North Bay and Ottawa.
IAMAW, among the largest industrial trade unions in North America, represents more than 700,000 active and retired members, and administers more than 5,000 contracts in transportation, woodworking, aerospace, manufacturing, healthcare and defense related industries.
