Dorval, QC – Members of IAM Local Lodge 1758 have ratified a new collective agreement with Héroux-Devtek.
The three-year agreement provides wage increases of 2.5 per cent in the first year and 3 per cent in each of the second and third year respectively. Other agreement highlights include :
• RRSP contribution increases by .25 per cent in last year of agreement
• Increased safety shoe allowance
• Compensation of one week wages for each year of service to a maximum of 14 weeks should the plant
close
• Increased trainer premium
• Adding of trainer premium of $2.00 for working on different shift
• Twinning premium increases by 15 cents/hour in 2012, and 10 cents/hour in 2013 and 2014
respectively
• Shift premium increases of 10 cents/hour for shifts 1,3 and 4 and shift 4(days)
• Increased bereavement leave
• Adding of flexibility clause
• Five-year loyalty reward of $500 per five years
• Wage readjustment for final inspection and R&O of 2 per cent
• Eye Care collective insurance of $100 to $150.00 for 12 months for children under 18 and $125.00 to
$150.00 for 24 months for adults
The 136 members manufacture, overhaul and repair aircraft landing gear for both commercial and military aircraft including the Learjet-85, Sikorsky CH-53K and Embraer Legacy 450-500.
Héroux-Devtek operates three facilities adjacent to Pierre Elliot Trudeau Airport in suburban Montréal.
