Cornwall, ON – Members of IAM Local Lodge 412 have ratified a new collective agreement with Ray Bolger Steel Fabrication Limited.
The four-year agreement provides wage increases of 3 per cent in the first year bringing the average wage to $27.81/hour, 2 per cent in the second year and 3 per cent in the third and fourth years respectively. Other agreement highlights include :
• Implementation of new 4 day – 10 hour/day shift
• Employer pension contribution increases to $1.00/hour in the second year of the agreement
The nine members are certified welders who manufacture Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Distillation Columns, Evaporators, Chemical Reactors, Storage Tanks and Reboilers. The members have the certification, procedures and experience to work with a variety of alloys including Carbon Steel, Duplex Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Inconel and Titanium.
