Dear Brothers and Sisters:
This is the official call for the 2017 IAM Communications Conference scheduled for
Sunday, May 21 through Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at the Hyatt Regency Austin, 208 Barton Springs Road, Austin, Texas 78704, phone (512) 480-2070, fax (512) 480-2089.
Plan to arrive on Sunday, May 21. Conference registration begins at 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and continues on Monday, May 22 from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. The conference will wrap-up around midday on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, with an appreciation banquet planned for that evening. Plan your departure date accordingly.
For this important conference, we have arranged for a special room rate of $209.00 for single or double occupancy. When calling, request the group rate for IAMAW or International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. The telephone number for reservations is 888-421-1442. The cutoff date for this rate is Monday, April 24, 2017. After that date, we cannot guarantee the special room rate or guarantee the availability of a room.
There is a $100.00 conference registration fee that will help defray the cost of a planned river cruise on Tueday, May 23 and the appreciation banquet on Wednesday, May 24. If possible, the registration fee should be paid when you return the enclosed registration form; no cash will be accepted at registration.

The Communications Conference is a great learning experience. This is a unique opportunity to master the skills needed to be effective communicators.
