Montréal, QC – 220 workers from Aerotek have become the newest members of the IAM Local Lodge 1660.
These employees which include electricians, assemblers and other trades are subcontractors inside all of Bombardier Aerospace & Airbus facilities in the greater Montreal area.
“We are the largest union within Bombardier and Airbus. The workers from Aerotek saw the benefits of joining our union,” explained District 11 Directing Business Representative Pierre Grenier.
The IAM represents 4500 aircraft assemblers, electricians, millwrights, painters and other trades at Bombardier and Airbus facilities in the greater Montreal area.
The IAM is the largest union in Canada’s aerospace sector.
