ATS Ratifies First Agreement with Machinists!

Calgary, AB – Members of IAMAW Local Lodge 2734, employed by Airport Terminal Services (ATS), have ratified their first collective agreement.
The two-year agreement includes a structure for wage increases every six months up to 84 months. It provides a 5 per cent increase to the top of the wage scale as well as a 3 per cent wage increase in October 2011.Other agreement highlights include a split shift premium and two additional sick days. The members ratified the agreement by a margin of 87 per cent.
“It has been a long struggle since we signed cards almost a year ago,” said IAMAW District Lodge 140 General Chairperson Mike Ambler. “ We would not have reached our goal if it wasn’t for the hard work and dedication of the inside committee of Eyob Mendege, Nathan Hannibal, Nick Holinski and the support of LL 2734 President Cisco Cain.”
The 65 members provide ramp and aircraft grooming services at Calgary International Airport.
