Vancouver, BC – IAM Northwest District 250 Directing Business Representative Walter Gerlach has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the United Way of the Lower Mainland of British Columbia.
“I’m honoured to be asked to join the board,” said Gerlach. “I’m excited to be part of the new direction of the United Way of the Lower Mainland announced at the recent annual general meeting. Serving the needs of our local community has always been the hallmark of the United Way and this new initiative – “Unleashing Local Love and Changing lives locally – allows us to demonstrate the value of services we offer the communities we serve for years to come.”
Gerlach is joined on the Board by Janet Andrews – Secretary Treasurer of the New Westminster and District Labour Council – a member of IAM Local Lodge 764.
