On September 13, 2024 after 9 days of negotiations and 1 day of conciliation, the members of IAM CULR Local 3111 ratified their new collective agreement with the Canadian Labour Congress.
Here are some details of the negotiations
- Introduction of AI language to protect workers jobs.
- 28% increase in out of town per diems
- 28% increase in overnight per diems
- 10% increase in CLC Convention per diems
- Introduction of electric and plug in hybrid vehicle allowance
- Improvement to vehicle tire allowance
- 20% increase in health and welfare allowance
- Improvement to the article intended to reduce the pension deficit
- 12% salary increase over 3 years
- Retro activity to July 1st on salary and other monetary benefits such as vacation bonuses, car allowances, per diems etc.
“It was a pleasure working with this professional and dynamic group of individuals. They brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table which proved to be a valuable asset to this round of negotiations.
