The 21 members of Superior Nissan ratified a new agreement today. Highlights are wage adjustments, annual increases, annual pension increases, lower benefit premiums, layoff language and improved vacation.
The members collectively work at Superior Nissan, Superior Custom Detailing and Superior Used Cars in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. This is their second collective agreement.
GLR Jackson, who helped with the negotiations said, “This was their second agreement and they wanted to be on par with the other dealerships we represent. This agreement goes a long way to accomplishing that goal.”
The IAM represents members at Superior Dodge, Maitland Motors, Highland Ford, Prouse Motors and Northside Toyota in the Soo. The IAM also represents automotive workers on Vancouver Island and the lower mainland of British Columbia, in Fort Frances, Thunder Bay, Sault Ste. Marie and Toronto in Ontario as well as in New Brunswick and Newfoundland.
