Machinists Ratify New Deal with Canadian Bank Note

Ottawa, ON – The members of IAM Local Lodge 412 have overwhelmingly ratified a new collective agreement with Canadian Bank Note.
 
The six-year agreement provides wage increases of 2.5 per cent in the first year retroactive to January 1, 2015, 2 per cent in years 2,3,4 and 5 respectively and 2.5 per cent in the sixth year. Other agreement highlights include :
Annual vacation improvements
Short term Disability Benefit improvements
Safety footwear increased to $240.00 every two years
One time safety footwear allowance for Gladstone Work Site of $125.00
Improved job security language
 
 
The forty members overhaul, maintain and repair machinery used in the manufacturing of security printed products for the Canadian government such as currency, stamps and passports.
