Surrey, BC – Members of IAM Local Lodge 692 have ratified a new three-year collective agreement with Cullen Diesel Power LTD.
The new agreement provides wage increases of 4.67 per cent in the first year, 2 per cent in second year and 3 per cent in the third year bringing the hourly rate $41.12. Other agreement highlights include :
- Pension contributions will increase to $2.30 per hour in the second year and $2.45 per hour in the third year
- Boot allowance increased to $200 in the second year
- New Thermal Boot allowance of $150 in the second year
- Tool allowance increased to $500 in second year
- 5th week of vacation now attained one year earlier
- New call-out language achieved
The 150 members consist of mechanics, welders and apprentices who repair, maintain and overhaul all types of engines including Detroit Diesel Electronic engines, MTU, MDEC and ADEC both in the shop and in the field. Cullen Diesel Power has multiple locations in Nanaimo, Surrey, Abbotsford, Kamloops, Penticton, Cranbrook, Prince Rupert and Sparwood, British Columbia.
