Toronto, ON – Members of IAM Local Lodge 1295 have ratified a new three-year collective agreement with the Crowne Plaza Toronto Airport hotel.
The agreement provides wage increases of 1.5 per cent every six months for a total of 9 per cent over the life of the agreement. Other agreement highlights include :
• Contract language improvements
• Pension contribution improvements
• Benefit plan coverage improvements
• Sick days for part-time employees
• New classifications of shipper/receiver and laundry supervisor added to bargaining unit
The 140 members provide housekeeping, front desk, bell desk, restaurant, maintenance, banquet server, reservations and switchboard services. The IAM represents hospitality workers at hotels in Toronto, Brampton, Oakville, London and Sarnia.
