St. Isidore, QC – Machinists employed by Kéfor Structures Incorporated have ratified a new five-year collective agreement.
“Overall, with the innovations of this contract and the result of the vote shows that the members appreciated the work performed by their bargaining team,” explained IAMAW District Lodge 11 Assistant Directing Business Representative Denis Longtin.
The agreement provides wage increases of 3 per cent in each year. Other agreement highlights include :
• Lead Hand premium increase
• Team Work premium increase
• Increased safety shoe allowance
• Bereavement Leave improvements
The 22 members of IAMAW Local Lodge 1660 manufacture wood roof trusses for the Canadian construction industry.
IAMAW, among the largest industrial trade unions in North America, represents more than 700,000 active and retired members, and administers more than 5,000 contracts in transportation, woodworking, aerospace, manufacturing and defense related industries.
