Lachine, QC – Members of IAMAW Local Lodge 2468, employed as office technicians at Rolls Royce Canada, have a new collective agreement.
The 170 members ratified the new three-year agreement by a margin of 80 per cent.
The new agreement provides for a lump sum payment of $2,500 in the first year and wage increases of 2 percent and 2.5 per cent in the second and third year respectively. The average wage at the end of this agreement will be $37.00/hour.
“I am very happy with how our negotiating committee held firm until the deal was done,” said IAMAW District 11 Business Representative Claude Boisvert.
IAMAW, among the largest industrial trade unions in North America, represents more than 700,000 active and retired members, and administers more than 5,000 contracts in transportation, woodworking, aerospace, manufacturing and defense related industries.
