Miramichi, NB – Members of IAMAW Local Lodge 2418 have ratified a new three-year collective agreement with Towne Ford.
The new agreement provides for wage increases of 2 per cent in the first year retroactive to January 1, 2009, 2 per cent in the second year and 3 per cent in the third year. Other agreement highlights include :
• Four weeks vacation after 12 years of service
• Additional sick time/personal leave benefit
• Up front money for uniforms
• Improved money and language re training
• Improved language and training for Ford Speciality programs
• Improved Hours of Work for bargaining unit
• New language for Seniority and probationary employees
The 11 members consist of auto mechanics, stores personnel and service advisors.
