Toronto, ON – IAM Union Local 1922 members employed by Ecojustice ratified a new agreement this week. The three-year agreement now includes the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation as a paid Holiday and introduces language to provide paid domestic violence leave and improvements to pregnancy and parental leave as well as general wage increases in each year of the agreement.
“This collective agreement includes several language changes which support a more equitable, diverse and inclusive workplace for our members,” said Directing Business Representative Kim Valliere. Kim also added a special “thank you” to negotiations committee member Jessica Molnar for her dedication during this round of negotiations.
Ecojustice is Canada’s largest environmental law charity and is represented by the IAM Union at its Toronto office.
The members of IAM Local 1922 include Staff Scientists, Office and Communications Managers, Paralegals, Communications and Grant Writer.
