Carl Sibley was known in the IAM as a tireless advocate for his members – and for workers in general. Employers also knew that and paid him the respect he deserved. On October 18th, 2021, a beloved husband, father, grandpa, friend to many, and advocate for “the underdog” passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by family. On October 15th the Young Machinists of IAM Local 2323 (Sheryl, Kris and Nicole) as well as the Dave Flowers, PDGC of IAM Transportation District 140, Dave Flowers, went to downtown Toronto and gave out packed lunches to some of the very vulnerable people living on our streets.
