Toronto, ON – Members of IAMAW Local Lodge 235 have ratified a new collective agreement with CBS Outdoor Signs.
The five-year agreement provides wage increases for hourly workers of a $750.00 signing bonus in the first year, $ .50 per hour in the second and third years and $ .55 per hour in the fourth and five year respectively. Piecework employees receive a $750.00 signing bonus in the first year of the agreement, a wage freeze in the second and third year, and increases of $ .28 per piece in the fourth and fifth years respectively.
Other agreement highlights include :
• An additional statutory holiday
• Improvements to Long Term Disability benefits
The 21 members are employed as ‘Bill Posters’, producing a variety of outdoor billboard advertising signs in the greater Toronto area.
IAMAW, among the largest industrial trade unions in North America, represents more than 700,000 active and retired members, and administers more than 5,000 contracts in transportation, woodworking, aerospace, manufacturing and defense related industries.
