The golf tournament, held on September 13 at Le Diamant Golf Club, brought together 120 golfers among the active and retired members of Local 712.
The event raised a total of $20,875 for Le Portage, an organization that supports individuals struggling with addiction. On October 2, representatives from Local 712 visited Le Portage’s facilities to present the donation.
Christian Bertrand, President of Local 712, thanked the organizing committee for their efforts: “It was a wonderful day where our members and representatives were able to socialize and have fun while supporting a great cause. I would like to personally congratulate and thank the Social Committee of Local 712, Alain Bouchard, Christian Houle, David Jean, Éric Vadeboncoeur, Bobby Lajeunesse, and Martin Dallaire, for making this day such a success.”
