Alexandre Dumais Appointed President of the QFL Laurentides–Lanaudière Regional Council

We would like to congratulate Alexandre Dumais on his appointment as President of the Quebec Federation of Labour (QFL) Laurentides–Lanaudière Regional Council.

A member of Local 712 since November 1999, Alexandre began his career in the aerospace industry as a fitter-assembler at Bombardier’s Saint-Laurent plant. In 2011, he became an electronics technician at the Dorval plant, where he first became involved in union activism as a shop steward. He later served on the negotiating committee for the Bombardier unit in 2018, followed by the Airbus Canada unit during the 2019 and 2024 bargaining rounds. He also served as an Employee Assistance Program representative at the Mirabel facility on the evening shift.

Currently serving as Secretary-Recorder of local 712, Alexandre also held the position of General Secretary of the QFL Laurentides–Lanaudière Regional Council prior to his appointment as President.

We also extend our congratulations to Camille Champagne on her appointment to the QFL Laurentides–Lanaudière Regional Council Executive Committee as Secretary-Recorder.

We are confident that Alexandre will continue to be a strong representative of our union and will meet the challenges of his new role with the same spirit of solidarity, commitment, and fairness that has defined his union involvement throughout the years.

Thank you for carrying the voice of local 712 members and for proudly representing our union within the QFL.
