North Bay, ON – Members of IAM Local Lodge 2412 employed by Atlas Copco, have a new collective agreement.
“We made some concessions on dental coverage and brand name drug prescriptions but in return we made a significant gain in our pensions plan,” explained IAM Grand Lodge Special Representative Gary Hynes.
The four-year agreement provides wage increases of 60 cents/hour in each of the first three years and 85 cents/hour in the fourth year. Other agreement highlights include :
• One per cent increase in pension contributions to the IAM Pension Plan, which now stands at 11 per cent for all hours, worked.
• Increased bereavement leave
• Improved seniority language
• Premium increases of 25 cents/hour for afternoon shift and 25 cents/hour for midnight shift
• Lead hand premium of $1.75/hour, trainer premium increased to $1.00/hour
• 30 minute paid lunch
• Meal allowance increased to $10.00
• Machinist maintenance classification adjustment of 50 cents/hour
