Employees at Rockcliffe Retirement Home in Ottawa voted on November 19, 2025 to join the IAM Union, marking a major step forward for workers seeking stronger representation and workplace protections.
With the support of Ryan Husk, IAM Union member from Local 3011 member and District 78 Organizer Rootisha Rampat-Sukhu, all 95 employees at Rockcliffe successfully became the newest members of the IAM.
Rockcliffe Retirement Home staff provide a wide range of essential services to residents, including nursing care, dietary services, housekeeping, and activities coordination. Their commitment ensures quality of life, comfort, and dignity for seniors in their care; and now, with IAM representation, they are empowered to advocate for fair working conditions, respect on the job, and a stronger collective voice.
The IAM welcomes Rockcliffe’s dedicated workforce and looks forward to supporting them as they begin their journey in the union.
