Vancouver, BC – There doesn’t appear to be too much excitement about the May 9th BC Provincial election to date but as February winds down and we head into the starting gates for the campaign over the next two months, things will heat up.
We are not here to tell our members who to vote for but we do encourage them to exercise their democratic right and vote. If you sit back in the weeds and complain about the performance of your provincial government without voting, you have no one to blame but yourself! If you want change, you’ll have to vote.
This time around there will be two additional seats in the ridings of Richmond and Surrey, 48 other provincial ridings will have their boundaries adjusted. As such it’s incumbent upon you to check to see if your riding boundaries have changed because that could impact on who you may vote for.
Advanced voting has been set for April 29-30th and May 3rd to May 6th with general voting on May 9th.
Over the coming weeks we will look at the issues and party platforms so you can make an informed choice and we emphasize the word choice, because if you don’t vote you forfeit your choice.
