LL1295 members at Peel Cheshire Homes in Brampton ratify new deal

Members at Peel Cheshire Homes in Brampton have ratified their new two -year agreement. The agreement provided some important language changes regarding scheduling, call-in procedures and vacations that our members were seeking to improve fairness at their workplace. IAM International President Robert Martinez Jr. has appointed long-time labor advocate Bernie Wood as an IAM Special Representative in Canada. The appointment is effective Nov. 20, 2023. IAM local 1922 members employed by UFCW ratified a new three-year agreement

Members achieved improvements to contract language, mileage and out of town expenses, and will receive wage increases each year of the contract. The committee also fought hard to maintain contract language which the employer was looking to change.
