Winnipeg-based Keewatin Air employees have ratified a new agreement, securing significant improvements in pay, benefits, and working conditions.
This new agreement provides an 18.5% wage increase over four years, along with 16 months of retroactive pay.
It also raises the night shift premium from $0.75 to $2.25 per hour and introduces additional payments, including a $50 daily on-call rate and higher per diem allowances for rotation schedules. The Aircraft Certification Authority (ACA) premium has also been increased, and employees will now receive up to $6.
Sick leave provisions have been expanded, with an increased annual allocation of 10 sick days per year. In addition, the agreement adds a retention incentive premium based on years of continuous service.
Overall, the changes are intended to improve compensation, strengthen benefits, and support better work-life balance for workers.
